Celebrating 30 years
Since 1996, New Groove Jazz Ensemble has put Sandgate and Brisbane in the groove bringing big band jazz to life. Made up of 20 passionate local musicians, the ensemble has kept big band standards swinging while embracing swing, latin, blues and more with style and heart.
Take a stroll down memory lane and explore highlights: 1996-2005, 2006-2015, 2016-2025.
As we celebrate 30 years of live jazz in our community, we honour the talent that has defined New Groove and the audiences who have clapped, danced and made memories with us. New Groove Jazz Ensemble performs on the second Sunday of every month at the Sandgate Town Hall starting at 2pm. Dancing is encouraged!
